Different styles for different needs

It can be a bit daunting to figure out where to start though. 
There’s just a couple of things to consider when you’re not sure what type of Pilates class to start with.
Here’s the low down.

Start with an Initial Private Session if...

  • you want to be doing Studio Sessions – individually tailored classes with maximum of 4 participants
  • you’re recovering from injury
  • you are pregnant
  • you haven’t exercised in a while
  • you are experiencing pain
  • you have osteoporosis
  • you enjoy close supervision and support
  • you have any other issues that you’re just not sure about

A Private Consultation helps us to identify your specific needs and goals.

We want you to be safe, comfortable and challenged when you’re doing Pilates and the best way to get all of those things is by getting to know your ins and outs and ups and downs.

We will help you decide where to go from here.

Go straight to Group Classes if...

  • you are injury free
  • you are used to attending general fitness classes
  • you enjoy a challenging and well supervised workout and are confident in your movement

Group classes are only in the Brisbane City studio, we offer:
Reformer Pilates
Mat Pilates
TRX Training

Our Group Classes give you a balanced, all-over workout with focus on strength and flexibility.

We want to pack in as much punch as we can in our classes, so expect to transition with some pace between moves and get a sweat up.

If you're after Online Sessions...

  • no Initial Private required – book anytime
  • we do like to have a chat beforehand if you are new to Movement Principle
    email info@movementprinciple.com.au with your phone number and we will give you a call
  • If you’re after an online mat Group Class, you can book straight in, no need for initial contact unless you have any questions.
  • Search and book via our City Group Classes.

Select either location to go through

Our online Pilates sessions are a private class over Zoom or similar, with your instructor guiding you the whole way. 
You can do them anywhere you can lay down a mat and set up a device, but we can give you more options if you’ve got the equipment.

Wear
Comfortable clothes that you can move easily in or your regular gym gear.

Bring
Clean socks, a towel and water bottle.

We love to know as much as possible about your situation before you come in so that we can get you moving sooner.
